terms and conditions

How are fees worked out?
By multiplying quoted hours by our hourly rate. Quotes exclude VAT.

Please note that additional fees may be necessary as projects grow, change or move off-scope.

If this seems likely you'll always be consulted.

How and when should I pay?
We invoice 50% before any work starts. This 'trigger payment' is due straight away please.

The final 50% is invoiced for once the phase is complete and you have 30 days to pay that.

Invoices clearly identify work so you know what you're being charged for.

At the end of a project, you have 30 days to pay please.

Limitation of liability
As we're giving professional advice, onebestway design limited has professional indemnity insurance cover of £250k for any one claim.

So we're covered for claims against us on the grounds of giving bad advice (not that it's ever happened, of course).

Our liability to you in respect of any claim (inc. costs, interest or expenses) in respect of professional negligence or otherwise on the part of this Company arising out of our engagement shall in no circumstances exceed the amount of our existing indemnity insurance cover referred to above or the admitted or final judicially determined extent of our liability (which ever shall be the lesser). Blimey!

Who owns the work?
Clients pay for onebestway's acquired, collective skill and knowledge to create things for them to use, buying our knowledge and skills, not what we create. So the ‘intellectual property’ created is onebestway's. However, transferring IP to clients (once paid for) is rarely problematic.

Publicity
onebestway can use client work in their own publicity material for mutual benefit. onebestway will be sensitive and professional where works are not yet in the public domain.
